Friday-11:15am

Quick post today so I can enter my pears.  :)
First time sketching and painting at the new art table spot.  Whoohoo!
I googled pears and got the picture on the left.  Struggled with my buckling WC Moleskine, as usual.
Got a bit carried away with the spattering.  Well, I don't really know what I'm doing as I have only tried spattering a couple of times.  They definitely look better from farther away, but these are my pears for the Artist's Play Room this week.  :)
Because I pulled out my little taboret from under the table Karma had to double check to see if she could get behind the dresser.  Foiled.
How about behind the bookcase?  Foiled.
This furniture change has put her in a "piss and vinegar" kind of mood.  A racing about the apartment, pawing her clawless anger out on anything and everything, whining about this and that, ears back kind of mood.  She'll get over it--LOL!  ;)
****
So anyways, with me being sick from those pills the start of the week, it came down to either the APR or the zendala challenge to try to finish this week.  I felt like painting in the new spot, of course.  Maybe next week I can get to both of them.  :)
****
And I will post the house progress pictures next time, but I had to post the artwork today to beat the deadline.  Happy Friday, folks!!   :):)

So glad you were able to post this. Am I the only one who couldn't get on Blogger yesterday? Very frustrating, since I could get on other blogs and web sites, just not BLOGGER. I'm off to see what I've missed. Looks like Karma is cozy and comfy, unlike in this post, where she is not a happy camper.

The pears you painted look great! I'm reminded again that I want to make watercolors a winter project. I just love how you keep so creatively productive, and spread joy in doing so.

Awww, I''m so flattered that my APR made the cut! Your pears look fab! I think the spatter adds just that extra touch, pears always have spots, just like bananas! Thanks so much for christening your art space with my pear challenge. What a wonderful submission!
BEST,
Jenn

I love your pears, and your working station. I need to get something like that for myself instead of just working on a table.
My four books came today, I'll have to do a post of all the goodies I bought.

I'm pleased to hear that you are doing well and feeling much better. ;)

Hugs to you and Karma!

You are quite the artist!
Poor Karma! She needs a little excitement in her life. Get her a cat hideaway thing.

Glad you got your pears done in time.

Miss Karma really hates change, huh?

Love the pears. The spattering looks so realistic, I've seen it on pears many a time :0) APR #15

Your pears are beautiful. Tell Karma that I am in a piss and vinegar mood, too.

Love your pears. I was never much good at splattering, but I think you did a good job.

Great that the furniture swap worked well. And good to see the new art table position is working well for you albeit not so well for Miss Karma. hehe

Your pears are lovely, Rita! Good likeness! I spattered mine too...when I spatter, I let it settle for just a second, then I quickly dab the spatters with a tissue to soften them.

Have a lovely weekend,

Love and hugs,
Serena xo

Well, I'd say "good job on the pears" but it looks like I arrived rather late. I can say, however, keep up the grumpy mood, Karma! I know how it feels to have things change right under your nose like that! :-)

Love the pears and the new table does look awesome... I have been eyeing off one of those palettes for a while, and maybe I need to take the plunge... and I love the splatters... I just had a pear on my window sill that looked like it was covered in them... so these look right to me...xx

I love those pears, the colour is fabulous and the splatter is great. Last time I tried to splatter, I did it the wrong way and splattered my face, so I don't do that any more.
I love your pallette, you can get so many colours on there.

What a great space you have there.
Your pears look fantastic and I love the speckles. I did a few dots and never thought about speckling so I'll keep that in mind, thanks ;D

I guess Karma isn't too happy with the new look eh? ^..^ hehe
How cute!
Enjoy your weekend and sorry I'm a little late visiting ~ Neesie (APR#17)

Dear Rita, the pears were a delicious treat for the eyes. In fact, they looked so delicious that I would have liked to take a bite out of one! Peace.

Just my tardy self checking in. I truly love your speckled pears. Looking forward to seeing more painting now that you have created such a great space for yourself.
